Fall Prevention

The risk and frequency of falls increase with age. Each year, one in every three adults age 65 and older suffer a fall.  Moderate to severe injuries, such as hip fractures and head injuries, can occur and increase the risk of early death.

Our fall prevention classes offer hands-on instruction for participants, engaging them in activities to strengthen muscles vital to balance (both static and dynamic).  Classes employ a strong focus on gait, posture, weight-shifting, flexibility and stimulation of the bodies vestibular system. DSC_3983
